Just curious since I remember some people questioning Belfort's ground game after his lost to Weidman.

Machida and Vitor. Said it for a a long time, even before the Weidman and Rockhold losses respectively.

Definitely JDS. Black Belt with a non existent ground game

I like the Machida answer.

I am not sold on JDS blackbelt at this point either.

To be fair, Machida was hurt when Rockhold subbed him and BADLY hurt when Jones got the guillotine on him. Vitor, OTOH, didn't have that excuse when Overeem and Jones subbed him.

And to be even more fair, Machida and Belfort have some wins by submission, which is more than you can say for a lot of BJJ black belts. I was about to say Wand, but he had a RNC back in 2000. OK, I'll still say Wand. Pretty good defensively but nothing as far as an active sub game.

Rashad is another BJJ black belt with virtually no active submission game.

JDS sadly dude went as far too say "Forget about Wrestling... Jiu-Jitsu....I'm a Boxing Guy." Which is fucking crazy considering what Cain did too him at UFC 155 and 166.

Black belt at BJJ with gi does not mean they have specific skills at mma grappling.

He broke Jon Jones arm in an attempted arm bar. He's obviously shit on the ground...

Lol it wasn't broken. Also you obviously missed his punch while fully mounted defense against the Chris.

Ya, i was kidding a little.

I wish he used his black belt more often. And definitely if he fights Conor again.
Same. Conor was definitely in the guy's head. He just plowed forward with a lunging hook. Total reckless abandonment.

you mean strained a ligament in his arm. Ive seen multiple people say that he broke jones arm when that never happened, but yeah Belfort has a legit ground game.

Sorry.
I know it does happen (people getting belts too fast), but I find it stupid to claim someone does not have a real BB just because they are a striker at heart.
Aldo, Junior, Machida, Vitor are all guys who much rather stay up than go to the ground.
Heck, even big Nog at the end of his career was much more of a "boxer" than anything else.

That however does not prove they are bad on the ground.
