Just through the grapevine stuff what I’ve heard from people who know him & have trained with him in the past.

Honestly it suprised me too. But take it as heresay again the extent of this convo went.
“He’s on drugs?”

“He’s been smoking it off and on for awhile.”

And I’ve had personal interactions with BJ in the past that have been less than cordial, thankfully I never had to deal with him.

For everyone who's saying they need to get help for BJ. It's not that easy.

You can't force someone to get help. I learned the hard way with my own family. You can get them held for 72 hours but that's it. After that, they let them go as long as their deemed not a danger to themselves or anyone else, but my family member was both and they kept letting her go anyway. There's just too many people with issues and they can't hold them all.

Whenever local politicians talk about helping homeless, I wonder if they're doing anything to prevent people from turning into people who become homeless like making good choices, etc. Fix the leak or fix the cause of the leaks.

This is just sad as fuck. Honestly my interest in MMMA has waned in recent years for a number of reasons but a big one was Spencer Fisher's situation. He's about the only high level MMA fighter from my area and to see him developing serious issues really hit home. It's one thing to know it's a possibility and see it impacting fighters from previous eras but it just hits different when it's a guy from where you're from who you actively followed throughout his career. I'm not calling for MMA to be banned or any dumb shit like that, but yeah...when the effects start showing up in the guys who you actively followed it changes how you view the sport.
