Kelvin vs Kennedy was pretty weird. So was DC vs Anderson Silva. GSP vs Bisping is also pretty silly.

As for fake match ups...

Gastelum vs McGregor
GSP vs Donald Cerrone
Bisping vs Woodley
CM punk vs anyone
Garbandt vs Mighty Mouse/Conor McGregor
Mighty Mouse vs Frankie Edgar

these are all, in theory possible.

Kelvin isn't fighting Conor. Too big for him.

GSP vs Nick 2

Money fights are getting out of control. Nick who doesn't know what is winning a fight in what so long can still get a title shot and fights like that.

It's technically possible as they've both foughten at WW.
Gastelum has trouble making weight and has looked phenomenal at MW. Conor would only fight at WW again for the title, so unless you're saying Gastelum will be WW champ, that fight never happens.

Gabi Garcia vs a much smaller 49 yo pro wrestler.

...oh wait fights that "could" happen.

Kelvin kills conor 10/10 imo. Gsp vs cerrone is a great fight. Gsp probably jabs him but it would be fun to see the grappling exchanges and the striking considering cerrone is taller and has good kicks.

I'm not saying is WILL happen, or that it's even possible given the circumstances both fighters are in, but that it's theoretically possible given that both have competed at 170 before

it's also theoretically possible that the giant screen over the octagon collapses and kills them. Since we're talking about theoretical possibilities here, why not bring that up?

Because the chances of that ever happening is so much lower than two professional prize fighters fighting.

Except that it really isn't. Both are theoretically possible but neither one will happen.

One could happen by a significantly larger margin than the other.
Except, again, neither one will happen. Conor wouldn't take that fight. Period. And, short of a tragic disaster, (hopefully) the screen won't fall and kill the fighters/ref/etc.

Neither one is going to happen, and therefore the probability of either is exactly zero. Possible? Theoretically. Probable? Not in the slightest.

There's at least a realistic chance that fight can happen. Not a good one, but the possibility exists. While the Octagon collapsing has such a low chance of happening, it's near zero percent.
