How often are the UFC going to get a chance to have a champ headline a home game in the UK? Surely that's the best decision for business?

Stadium show in Manchester or London anyone?

he's undefeated in the UK so yeah I would love to see him defend it at least once

Also, the vast majority of the time American champions have been allowed to defend with home advantage. The likes of Aldo and Anderson won most of their title fights giving up home advantage to American opponents.

Meanwhile Bones has defended 5-6 times against non-North Americans and every fight has been in North America. Cain had 5 title fights against Brazilian opponents, all were held in North America. All of Weidman's 4 title fights against Brazilians were held in the US.

Of the North American champions only Ronda had the balls to give up home advantage to a non-North American opponent (Bones flat out refused to fight outside North America when it was brought up to him, proving that home advantage is a legit factor).

well yeah that is because the most money is made for the UFC in America, most of the time. They charge a shit load for tickets out here

For sure, I was thinking just that when I was watching the press conference. There is no way they can pass up on the opportunity.

Yes, so he can lose it in the most undignified fashion. Judging from what we've seen so far this year, that is the overall pattern.

Obviously.

Hence my point they need to jump on this opportunity to do a massive show in the UK.

Probably not, UFC usually does title defenses in established markets.

Yeah that would be cool. Bisping vs. Jacare.

the uk is shitty for tourist tho so no one will fly out there to see the fights... America on the otherhand is best place for tourist there is so much shit to do in vegas

Bisping Jacare makes sense only if the UFC wasn't going to MSG. I imagine it will be New Yorks hometown boy, Weidman, going for his belt back in NYC. I wouldn't mind seeing Weidman Rockhold in NYC either but it is unlikely. Certainly, Weidman deserves an immediate crack at the title more so than Rockhold as he defended it numerous times. Jacare couldn't sell out a highchool gymnasium. It is a business and Weidman Bisping does better numbers, and in NYC, than any bout in the MW division

We have drugs, prostitutes and gambling here, too.
