So first time around I scored it 49-47 to Michael Bisping.
I had it Round 1 Hendo, Round 2 a Draw, Rounds 3-5 Bisping.
Upon a rewatch, I only made 1 change to my scoring and that is Round 2 to Bisping.
I think it was very commendable what Henderson did in that fight and I can also understand some of the criticism of Michael's performance as a champion. I think a lot of his apprehension was a psychological thing to do with his history with Henderson and a fear of being KO'd again.
I think Round 1 is a 10-9 more than ever after a second watch, and that's because the flurry was nowhere near as bad as I thought. Round was Bisping's barely, until that moment, that moment if it had been prolonged would have led to a 10-8, but it was only a 15-20 second period - 10-9 Henderson for me.
I think Round 2 could be scored a draw, but it's impossible for that to be scored a Henderson round unless we treat the scoring like a Boxing model when it comes to knockdowns. Bisping won 4+ minutes of the round and even had Hendo in a little trouble. 10-9 Bisping for me.
Round 3 obviously Bisping. 10-9 Bisping
Round 4, closer than 3 but more output from Michael. 10-9 Bisping
Round 5 Henderson was much more aggressive, but really didn't land anything. Mike's shoulders never even touched the ground in the takedown exchange and Michael got back up pretty much immediately. A little higher work-rate and some flashier strikes. 10-9 Bisping.
49-46 is my revised score. Still wouldn't be angry with 49-47 with Round 2 as a draw.
Anyone else rewatched it?
