This is really tough. I mean I'd love to see GSP finally come back and fight at 185 since its been talked about for a really long time but wouldn't we love to see Hendo come back and possibly win a UFC title in his career? How epic would that be.. Also for the record I think Mike beats up GSP makes his face bloody and wins UD.

I think you made this thread after you saw the other thread about Bisping wanting to fight GSP and Hendo.

GSP, battle for the first guy to get 20 wins inside the octagon, GSPs chance to become 2 division champion, Bispings chance to achieve GOAT resume, otherwise known as GROAT.

As a Bisping fan I'd take either before Jacare.

The GSP "most wins" angle is cool & will make a good fight...

...but Weidman if healthy gets the fight in NY due to his work legalizing MMA in NY... as well as his other obvious credz.

I would much rather see GSP fight Robbie Lawler, with his relentless jab and threat of the take down I think he has a better chance at beating Robbie than the bigger Bisping. Personally I have no interest in seeing Bisping vs Henderson 2, but I do think Bisping will take the rematch if it happens; and honestly I don't know why but a Bisping vs GSP match up just doesn't appeal to me, at least not yet. Maybe if the fight is booked and hyped I may get more interested. I suppose I would just rather see GSP compete at welterweight especially against Rob Lawler who has looked almost unstoppable since his UFC return.

If the choice is between those two. It's GSP without a doubt. And tbh it makes way more sense than Hendo. People here whine about rematches. Hendo would be a rematch.

I want Bisping to fight Jacare or The Chris.

I don't really know whey Hendo is being pushed so hard for this fight.

The GSP fight would be cool but, as somebody said above, Robbie v. GSP is a better fight.

Yeah but this time is the champ who wants to avenge a loss
Same would have applied to Rockhold vs Belfort 2.

The stupid situation is when a champ got his ass kicked and they give him an inmediate rematch
I also pick Bisping vs GSP though

So...

Bisping vs a WW who's been retired for 3 years.

OR

Bisping vs a 50 year old man on the verge of retiring... For a combined age of 80+ yrs.

Sorry noobs but the gimmick fights are not necessary in a stacked division. Jacare should be fighting for the title.

I don't disagree with any of your points, but the reason Hendo is being pushed so hard is twofold.

1. UFC 100 - Hendo gave us the H-bomb to end all H-bombs. Bisping disobeyed his corner's constant warnings not to circle left and wound up on the highlight reel. A rematch would be a chance for Bisping to avenge the loss.

2. IT'S MOTHERFUCKING HENDO. He's FINALLY talking about retirement. He's got a great KO win to go out on, and it's over an opponent that many people thought would wreck him like Vitor did. Now he's finally talking about retirement, but one final fight with Bisping for the MW title would be a great way to end a ridiculously awesome career.

I know you love all things Brazilian and hate all things not Brazilian, so I don't expect a rational response from you, but if you really can't see how exciting a Bisping vs Hendo 2 fight would be, it's only because you choose not to.

I love Jacare and I know he deserves the shot more (so does Romero - but I digress), but a retirement fight for Hendo would be better in the eyes of a lot of fans and in the eyes of the UFC as a business, because Jacare simply isn't as well known or as well liked as Hendo.

>Hurr durr Brazilian

Let me ask you this:

What exactly would a fight against a 50 year old Challenger with a 2-3 record in his last five fights accomplish???

Make MMA look legitimate? Nope

Make Bisping look more legitimate? Nope

If Hendo were to somehow win, he would most likely RETIRE immediately after, and the Middleweight divisions legitimacy would be out the window with everything left in limbo.

Quite a shame when you have guys like Jac, Romero, Weidman, Rockhold, Moose, Whittaker, etc. all in the hunt.

I have a feeling that Bisping would tune Jacare. I think his toughest fights are Rockhold III and Weidman.

Also, Hendo ruined any chance he had at getting this fight by calling it his last fight. The UFC isn't going to promote a challenger who has openly said he is going to retire immediately afterward.

Yep, thanks for proving my point :) You're exactly as predictable as I thought, so thanks for that.

You're talking about the "legitimacy" of it? This is MMA. When has it ever been "legitimate"? When has "legitimate" ever made money for the UFC or other major MMA organizations? These are BUSINESSES, not government-sponsored regulatory authorities. PRIDE's biggest shows were the freakshow fights. The same is true right this very moment for Bellator, if you hadn't noticed.

You want Bisping to look legitimate? The guy who was a gatekeeper for the entirety of Silva's reign? This isn't about being "legitimate" it's about selling a fight. Stop suddenly supporting the "legitimacy" of the sport just because it favors one of your fighters. The "legitimate" product wasn't what got any of us into the sport, it was fights like Saku vs Rampage or Tank vs anybody or prime Wandy wrecking whoever PRIDE decided to put in front of him.

If Hendo wins and retires, that's a good thing for the UFC because they can not only control who fights for the vacant title but they can also hype up the fight that much more by having it be for a vacant title. Not to mention the cash they earn from the Bisping vs Hendo II fight in the first place.

It is a shame for the other fighters in the hunt, but in case you hadn't noticed, it's never been about being "fair" - it's always about making money. If you don't like that, get in line with the rest of us.

Or they'll just make two of them fight for the vacant title. The situation is far from dire.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
