Whoa whoa whoa... Machida has really fallen off, but nobody, and I mean nobody, in the UFC has less power in their hands than Michael Bisping, including 125-lb manlets and WMMA "fighters."
Bisping is the punching equivalent of a knuckleball pitcher. Just like an incredibly slow pitch can strike anybody out if they don't see it coming, an incredibly weak punch can knock anyone out if they don't see it coming and it catches them on the button, as happened to Rockhold when he completed dismissed Bisping because he had ragdolled him in their first fright and Bisping had done nothing to merit fighting for the title.
Because of his complete lack of power, Bisping doesn't even throw punches at full strength. Instead, he is the extreme example of quantity over quality. His game plan is to pretend he is in a cardio boxing class at the mall. He is the godfather of point fighting in the UFC.
His opponents don't even bother to block his little pitter patter punches because they don't inflict any damage whatsoever. It like when a little child throws a tantrum and starts punching an adult's leg with their little fists. Nonetheless, the UFC adds all of the theses "punches" to striking stats, and the judges say, "well, der der look at all those 'punches' he must've won der der."
Bisping has won decisions where he literally has no highlights. When Rogan enters the cage to interview him after such fights, it's incredibly awkward when they have to show a "highlight" of the fight and it's just a random 5-second clip of non-significant strikes.
