Bisping Earned It, All of It.

That's for your input bro I'm sure you picked Anderson to win as well. Do us all a favor and keep your fight predictions to yourself.
Nah, seeing as how it's a public forum I'll continue to share them lol.
How about you calm down & tell me where I'm wrong instead of just getting angry.

He's not a cardio machine, so yeah a big muscular explosive guy like him has to pick his moments. But I just dont see Bisping having the tools to stop a guy like him. It's basically better striking, wrestling, speed, power, explosiveness vs cardio... I dont like Bisping's chances in that one at all.

Well I would favor Romero over Bisping, I just had the thought that he would stand a better chance of stick and moving to a decision than against Rockhold, Weidman or Jacare. Bisping's striking isn't exactly poor either, although obviously Romero has more power.

TS sits in front of his PC for 2 hours, compiling 3 paragraphs in an attempt to convince you with heartfelt nonsense that Bisping actually deserved the W. TS prefaces said nonsense with "I'm a huge Anderson Silva fan" to have it appear as if he is coming from a neutral standpoint.

TS.... I'm on to you.

But seriously, I actually agree with you heartfelt nonsense. There is something to be said about a guy who is every bit as hungry all this time later, as he was over a decade ago. Bisping is still a guy that for personality reasons, I don't think I'll ever come to like. I can appreciate him as a fighter, however.

haha... if you think I'm being disingenuous I'm sure my posting history would convince you otherwise. Anderson is the fucking man, these last few years have been rough though. One of the most embarrassing KOs of all time, Grusome injury, steroid violation, legitimately losing a fight to Bisping.

Anderson should probably hang it up... after the Bisping fight I realize that the chance to see any more of that Anderson magic is pretty slim.

I had exactly the same thoughts.
Good on Bisping. I'm happy for him.

Bisping gets ruined by any of the current top 5.

Rockhold already handled him with ease, and Weidman would do the same. Jacare would twist him into a pretzel, and Romero might be his worst matchup of all...

He's got nothing to look for in the MW title picture.

He might have a chance of out cardioing Yoel I spose if the latter ever fights again but generally I'd agree.

I actually think Bisping matches up quite well with Anderson and might have given him a good test even 3-4 years ago. I think the early MT wrecking machine Spider would probably have walked though him as he did Franklin BUT whilst Bispings chin and power isn't amazing I do think he'd mentally tougher than most of the guys Anderson mindfucked in the latter years of his title run.

Mike has come through huge for the UFC in the UK market time & time again. Yes a Rockhold rematch would be a tough sell but giving him a Title shot on the basis of his careers work, after being counted out so many times, would send out quite a positive message to the roster.

There's certainly a very strong narrative to be cultivated. My only concern is it would prolly need to be held in the UK & after some of the questionable judging the other night, i'm not sure if the UFC would be too comfortable putting a Title fight on there now.

After the questionable flying knee was landed in the third, I found myself pulling for Bisping. Anderson's celebration just seemed weird to me, I knew if the fight was called there people would call it cheap. So Anderson had two more rounds to finish off a wounded Bisping... and couldn't do it. And based on everything we know about scoring, there's no question that Bisping won 3 rounds of that fight.

Congrats to Bisping, Hope he gets that title shot. He's earned it.

I scored it for Bisping too, but regarding the bold quote; you need to take into consideration the energy dump Silva did when celebrating.

Regardless, Bisping is not due a title shot after that win.

Great fight though, too bad it has this blemish & will be remembered by it.

Energy Dump after mistakenly celebrating < Getting Knocked Out with a Flying Knee

ftfy.

And it's down, not out. Topped with 90 plus seconds to recuperate so...
