I'm a huge Anderson fan. Following his career in MMA has been the highlight for me as a fan. And going into this fight with Bisping I was really hoping for one last highlight reel performance against a fighter that it seemed was tailor made for that to happen.

But as the fight went on, it was clear... Anderson is old. He still has flashes of his former brilliance but he often finds himself off balance, his once peerless speed has declined to a mortals pace and his once granite chin is cracking. All of the clowning and showmanship earlier in his career was validated by his success. You can talk the talk so long as you walk the walk etc.

And that's just it, Anderson can't be Anderson anymore and in the midst of it all Bisping showed all the heart and determination of someone who's entire legacy was on the line. It was clear this fight meant everything to him. After the questionable flying knee was landed in the third, I found myself pulling for Bisping. Anderson's celebration just seemed weird to me, I knew if the fight was called there people would call it cheap. So Anderson had two more rounds to finish off a wounded Bisping... and couldn't do it. And based on everything we know about scoring, there's no question that Bisping won 3 rounds of that fight.

Congrats to Bisping, Hope he gets that title shot. He's earned it.

Bisping gets ruined by any of the current top 5.

Rockhold already handled him with ease, and Weidman would do the same. Jacare would twist him into a pretzel, and Romero might be his worst matchup of all...

He's got nothing to look for in the MW title picture.

Bispung scored the most points. Anderson whooped the most ass. Great win for Bisping but Anderson is,still the better fighter.

Don't look in these parts for due credit. When it comes to someone like Bisping, saltiness will always prevail on this forum.

Sure... that may all be true. But at this point Bisping is basically MMA's Rudy... you have to give him the shot.

He earned that decision, no doubt. Especially after nearly getting decapitated by that knee, and continuing to fight. He outhustled Silva overall.

Title fight? Not so sure on that one. He beat a 40 year old, well past his prime Anderson. He gets raped by Luke or any of the top 3-4 guys.

I think he might have the best shot against Romero out of the bunch, if he could survive the one intense round Romero has in him he could outpoint him for the rest...

Sure, but how do you give him a shot when he was handled by the current champ so easily?

If anything they'll give him Romero or Jacare... or maybe Vitor.

This myth that Romero is only dangerous in the first round is so hilarious, considering his UFC career consists of 4 finishes in the third round, 2 wins by decision, and only one first round finish.

Bisping is no thread off his back, and Romero outstruck Machida before putting him on his ass like a child. Bisping would fare much worse.

It wouldn't make sense really. It would be a more or less gifted title shot for a guy who has 25 fights in the UFC and always been a contender. Anything other than a title shot and Bisping should just retire and stick to that desk job.

I didn't mean only the first round, I meant one round over the course of the fight he usually paces himself and gets the finish in the third except for the Jacare fight when he smelled blood early.

If you think that you should point out where that guy was wrong. Bc he wasn't wrong. Romero, jacare, weidman, & Rockhold would all violate Bisping. Rockhold already did. I also don't think Bisping can beat vitor. Even if he is deflated.

He's not a cardio machine, so yeah a big muscular explosive guy like him has to pick his moments. But I just dont see Bisping having the tools to stop a guy like him. It's basically better striking, wrestling, speed, power, explosiveness vs cardio... I dont like Bisping's chances in that one at all.

Lol by winning three questionable decisions in a row?

    Anderson KOd him

    Leites was a close call

CB Dollaway bounced his head off the canvas

The only thing Bisping has earned is a chance to rematch Anderson outside of the UK

That's for your input bro I'm sure you picked Anderson to win as well. Do us all a favor and keep your fight predictions to yourself.
