I'm sure Billy Graham's pride as a trainer will have been somewhat vindicated by the outcome of this fight, especially given the stuff that FMsr was coming out with and Ricky saying that he needed to move onto the next level. I'm sure Billy didn't want to see Ricky lose, but at the end of the day, Hatton couldn't have looked any worse than what he did in this fight. He looked awful. In trying to learn new stuff (which he clearly forgot come fight time), he ended up unlearning a lot of the stuff he did with Graham by not prractising it as much.

Hatton at his best under Graham would still have lost to Pac IMHO but it would have been a closer and much longer fight. Hatton looked like a 10 fight novice the other night. I think the old saying that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies here. Just because Hatton lost to the best fighter of his generation in PBF, he changed trainers. That's an ego thing that has now come back to bite. Common sense should tell him that PBF could handle him on any day of the week and that no change of trainer would make a spot of difference.

Has anyone heard a response to the fight by Graham?

Does anyone believe that Hatton could have won the fight with Pac had he not changed trainers and routines a such a late stage in his career?

Does anyone think that Hatton will ditch Mayweather Sr (I def think he should and I thought that before sat. On the 24/7 series Sr came across as a whacko and a terrible trainer, especially compared to Roach. Sort of like comparing a well schooled general (roach) to a private.) and go back to Graham to continue his career?

Hatton fought like he always fights. He did the exact same thing against PBF.

That's the style Graham tought him obviously

What?
He didn't fight the exact same way against PBF.
If you recall, Hatton tried to fight in close but Cortez kept seperating them.
Watch Hatton's fight with KT. That's what Hatton was trying to do with PBF.
And that's what he didn't do against Pac.

He most certainly did not try to fight the same way.

Its definitely a sad sight to see. I think Hatton should of just done an old school Mike Tyson type approach on Pacman. Hands up, cover the the chin, bulldoze in and get him against the ropes.

He totally faked up by trying to take it in the center of the ring. Credit to Pacman for keeping it there, but Hatton had a few chances to get him against the ropes and he just let him go.

Funny thing is, Manny pretty much did the same thing to hatton that Floyd did. He'd hit him and then hold him when he got inside, Hatton looked like an amature.

As far as the style for Hatton in the Manny fight, it looked to me like he was actually trying to do those things rather than them just coming naturally. Manny would land shot and THEN Hatton would start moving his head.

Hatton was confused.
