A single button would be terrible. I'd constantly be inadvertently hitting it and pissing myself off.

I used to be a fan, too.

SGI computers had a 6 or 7 key combination to restart the X server. It was called a "Vulcan death grip".

Just a single button for task manager would be good. That's where I use it for anyway.

    And the mod won. :(
Back when I used to be a nerd, I mean gamer, I would remove the windows keys from my keyboard because I'd nearly always hit the stupid things playing a game which would take me out of the game to access the start menu... I'm sure I could have found a way to turn it off or something, but it was easier to just pop the key out.

Of all the computer issues I've experienced it never once occurred to me that this key combination was problematic.

What would have made the most sense (and still might) would be scrap the "Ctrl+Alt+Del" and have something like a dial on the bottom of the keyboard. But like a combination dial (right turn/left turn/right turn).
If you want to access that screen you simply would turn your keyboard upside down, turn the dial to the combination that you would have set it at when you first bought it at the Gateway store.... and voila.

Something alittle too messy about a three key punch combination that we currently have.

Haha same here. They joked that the real reason he did that was because he thought those were the buttons Steve Jobs pushed on the keyboard, or something like that.

Not working. Can be my Windows though. It's slow sometimes when it comes to task manager.

maybe a laser eye scanner that you would put your face up against and blink a rapid succession sequence to restart your system.

    Could be....
but I think something with more working gears would be ideal.
