That's BS. He has an obligation to follow a safe distance from someone driving down the road. If someone cuts you off, then they made the mistake. If possible, you have the obligation to slow create a safe following distance. Break checking is illegal for a reason.

no one is saying what the bikers did isnt illegal. it is pure hooliganism. What I am saying is, the entire situation was avoidable for the driver if he just stayed away from them by slowing down. A man's priority should be for the safety of his family and he ignored the threat this gang posed.

Now the question should be, "why do we let these maniacs take over the city?" and the answer is they are affiliated with the NYPD and include many cops among their ranks. Just like 1%er gangs do community "charity runs" so do these guys. Dont let that fool you, they are criminals at heart. But criminals who "give back to the community", so cops turn a blind eye.
