I mean wow ,discuss! Are they fighting in the same Weight class?

That would be if Alexander Romanov had a mount position over Sean O Malley

Fedor didn't approach this fight properly. Should have been more mobile on the feet and brawled less. He should have been more aware of the takedown in round 2 as well but by then he was mentally set on brawling. This fight was a big wake up call for him in terms of how much he had slown down and how much his training had regressed.

Is this your “Fedor did pretty good in Strikeforce” thread?
<mma3>

Mark Hunt is much shorter than Fedor but still beat bigfoot Silva
Tbf, everyone else on earth also beat Bigfoot during that same stretch except for Soa Palelei.

Freakshow fighter who fought for a UFC title, beat Fedor, AA, Browne and Overeem. You're a dummy lol
He WAS a freakshow, but he could also fight, when he was loaded up on TRT. Without it,he's a freakshow who cant fight. He's basically Giant Silva without it.

Interestingly, his coaches were saying Fedor was busy doing commercials, relying on old tricks, and not continuing to advance his skills right after he knocked out Arlovski.

This seems to be the result of what his team was suggesting.

It's true. I think injuries played a role in that. He was training a like a machine from 2000-2005. He fought 23 times from 2000-2004. Then defended against Cop in 2005. Smashed Tim and AA from 2008-2009 and I think by this time he was tired emotionally and physically and was slowly beginning to show signs of decline. The loss in sambo to Ivanov was a major indicator of this IMO.

I think also that if you lose after being undefeated for THAT LONG (which is unusual) then you just aint the same guy after. The momentum has to start all over again, but he had already been slipping before that.

I am not going to say anything stupid but i assume that during Pride Fedor tool something to get more energy so to say. No way in hell a heavyweights today can do 23 fights in five years and against top 10 opponents most of the time.

Who knows. For what it's worth Fedor never went through a crazy physical transformation. He's always looked more less the same. It's not like Vitor or Reem who looked and performed noticeably different during multiple stints of their career.

There is a chance Fedor was a natural who went until he couldn't go anymore. This doesn't mean he never took a banned substance. A cortisone shot is a banned substance and any high level athlete has taken something like that before. But outside of something like that I don't think Fedor was ever a chemist the way Reem, Vitor, Jones and Dillashaw were.

I have been in Russia before and they have some strong Medicine that would be illegal outside.

Just like in Thailand you can buy strong Sleeping tablets that would have been banned in U.S or Europe

Yeah but Mark Hunt wasnt happy with his money situation, which is why Yrat hates him forever.

He dont like it when guys arent happy with their money.

Freakshow fighter who fought for a UFC title, beat Fedor, AA, Browne and Overeem. You're a clown lol

He beat AA in the worst slump of his career, Browne injured his leg at the beginning of the fight, and beat a gassed Overeem who was tuning him up fror two rounds. He got his title shot and his blood covered the canvas seconds later.

Right place, right time, right circumstances
