The original 1.1m average figure for Fury vs SS on C5 seems to have been fabricated.
Fury vs SS received 1.54 million viewers on channel 5 in the UK on average and came second for the week. This outright contradicts so called reporters who claimed Fury vs SS did 1.1 million and peeked at 1.4 million. BARB is the most official source for TV ratings in the UK:

Clearly we see a problem with how early boxing TV ratings are being reported. This isn't like the US where east and west coast numbers need to be compiled. I don't see how a TV ratings website and twitter journalists could come up with a number this far from reality by accident.
I'll also say this, a neutral user on twitter named something like sportstvratings (now RIP) reported Khan-Peterson did 1.7m viewers, months later someone else reports it did something like 1.4m, and the lower number ends up being believed. There's something fishy with how boxing's ratings are being reported these days. From Haye vs Wlad on HBO and Donaire-Rigo they just aren't matching up to expected trends. It's lucky the BARB site is there because otherwise we'd never know the original 1.1m number was completely false.
