Big Toe flexibility! Mine isn't the best and I think it inhibits some movements.

    Hello All!

Strange question/topic - but am hoping for some help anyway!
Anybody have issues with the flexibility in their big toe(s)?

I don't have so much flexion in mine, such that pivoting off the ground has its limits (or hindrances) - it has an unfortunate impact on my movements from a very low-posture (whilst on the toes).
If I were to sit on my knees and toes, my weight is rather high as the lack of flexibility leaves me raised on the point of the toes, rather than them flexibly folding beneath me (if this makes sense).

Strangely, I have excellent flexibility with my toes in the other direction. . . . (yes, like a Ballerina. New sport?)

I am actively working to try and stretch them out and improve the flexibility, but perhaps somebody more knowledgeable can shed some light on techniques or options for me to address this.

    Thanks

Try the mobilizations in this video (even if you don't have turf toe):
