It was an entertaining fight ruined by the ref.

-takes a pt for a low blow where there was no low blow. pitbull ran away crying about an eye poke so big john took a wild guess that it was another low blow.
-strauss clearly gets hit the groin and big john walks around allowing pitbull to land 3 or 4 bombs.

Don't worry, Straus got careless on the ground and was choked....again!

Straus was done after that low blow and crazy follow up. Ruined a nice main event. Damn.

Big John arguing "I never said that, did I?" with Strauss was embarrassing.

    Just ref and shut up.

This, he said that sassy ass "did I?" earlier in the fight too. I'd love to never see that fat egomaniac ref again. Guy is just atrocious.

The two fighters fouling made it a mess. All the stoppages were warranted.

^This. The second groin shot in 2nd by Strauss was the same as Pitbull's groin shot in 3rd (clean knee but the foot hits the cup). But after Straus' two groin shots and eye poke, that is enough illegal fouls to warrant a point.

I am totally fine with refs actually calling fouls in fight, and not just allowing groin strikes and eye pokes to go uncalled. If anyone has been poked in the eye or even had a kick graze their cup, it can be gamechanging.

-and also, the injustice of being fouled and not getting a break, can hang on a fighter's mind. you can tell, and that also affects their ability to fight

he sat back and allowed pitbull to land a few bombs on a guy who just got hit with a clear illegal blow. he had plenty of time to step in and his dumb as walked slowly up to the fighters. plain awful. I don't blame pitbull at all for attacking either.

Okay, but that is still one punch too many. He had plenty of time to get in between them.

The fight was a mess because both of them fought like dirty dogs. That is the fight they wanted and that is what they got. Thankfully the point deduction made no difference in the outcome though.

McCarthy would not dare take a point from Jon Jones.
It does not matter how many eye pokes occurred.
    Different rules for different fighters.

Lmao....where's the gif of Big John picking up Pitbull like a Chihuahua

I didn't have a problem with Big John tonight. He's always been a bit of a smarmy dick with fighters, which I really don't care about. And yea, he was slow on the Strauss foul to grab Pitbull, but it made no difference in the end.
