That was some kind of mutant variant...more like McDiaz.

Walk forward, throw punches that fall short with little power and eat low kicks till you cant walk.

SMH

Also, Dustin is a fantastic fighter and a very attractive dude...he would still love cage fighting if the UFC would pay him his worth.

He look like drunk bum, no?

Conor's skills just don't translate as well to LW. The only LW fight he's looked good was against Alvarez.

it's just money grab at this point (to fulfill his contract, and it's connected to his boxing match/contract)
nothing more

Too worried about focusing on weaknesses instead of doubling down on his strengths imo. The criticism about not having a stoppage after the 2nd round, cardio issues, etc eats away at him and he goes out to prove a point. Completely neglecting what got him to where he is in the first place.

Hopefully he doesn't become obsessed with countering calf kicks, but that is one of the more obvious routes he may take after his last fight. I'd like for Conor to go back to the idea that hey, I have the death touch with this left hand. I am coming to take your head off. Can you survive the first 5-10 minutes? Trying to be something he's not hasn't worked out too well for him.

Yep, worst version to date, the early FW versions were better than this wannabe boxer shit.

A similar situation was losing to Nate and then forming a plan to beat him. 3rd Dustin fight will likely be better, more strategical. But there was a lot going on. And Dustin's a way smarter fighter than Nate. Though Nate is tougher. The 3rd fight will be interesting. What approach and plan Conor and his coaches will implement.

Why everytime your favourite fighters loses we come up with Excuses?? Just admit that he might not be as good as you thought he was and move on!!

Conor Vs Diaz-- Diaz was 5 times bigger
Conor Vs Khabib- Drunk bad training camp
Conor Vs Porier- Ring Rust, Cystitis etc...

Bold thread so you could man crush on Poirier.

I prefer the theory that McGregor has alzheimer's and this is his last desperate attempt to collect cash for his family before he fades away. Nothing to it of course, but he really didn't look like himself beyond ring rust, etc..

He was on family vacation mode. Came in on a yacht with the family there, pampered all week.

You could see the fire wasn’t there.

Nope, that was the one and only Conor McGregor out there. He was in top form, top condition. His technique was perfect. And despite all that, he lost. He lost because the other guy was better than his best..........some of you guys remind me of baseball announcers when a Cy Young type pitcher gets clobbered and they say, "well, he didnt have his best stuff tonight".....as if its not possible for a hitter to hit a guys "best" stuff.....guess what? It is.

Poirer is an excellent fighter, that's why Conor lost.
