Opening limits are often small even at major sportsbooks like 5Dimes so you can't bet as much as you want right off the bat in a single wager when the odds come out and have to break it up into multiple bets at worse but still good value prices. Other times the price improves in the days before a fight so a bettor will add more to a side he likes as the price gets better over a period of days. Then there are other situations where you might add more after a weigh-in if you feel more confident or switch to the other side even. Also, at least when post my long list of bets for a card- which is a summary of a week's worth of wagers all typed up at once- I personally usually list the bets from best price to worst price from top to bottom on a single side, not in the order that I made the bets. It doesn't mean that I bet at worse prices, it could easily be the opposite.
