Better striker: Silva or McGregor

Big fan of McGregor but Silva is the better striker. The Silva we got to see in the UFC had already refined his game and we saw the finished product, McGregor is still in progress but he can be just as good as Silva by the end of his career.

Oh no here we go! Can we keep it to current fighters and fighters that hasn’t failed test 2x

Conor has a super dangerous and accurate left hand.

That's it. It gets the job done most of the time, but he is limited, no matter how much his huggers gargle his nads.

Silva doesn't have quite the accuracy or power in his hands, but he has a much more diverse skill-set overall.

Silva could knock you out in the clinch, mid range, at range, up close, GnP, up kicks, list goes on.

Silva, and it's not even close. Now, who's the more effective striker, you could legit argue Conor. You don't KO Aldo in 13 seconds, and not be effective as hell. But I'd still go with Silva.

I'll give Conor 1 thing though. He's never been limited as the initiator, whereas, Silva's a bit limited when you force him to start the offense.

Goldfish Memory of MMA fans ladies and gents. One could finish you with any limb the other is a one trick pony who doesn’t even fight in MMA

<{fry}>

i will pretend this isn't a troll and is a legit question.

in which case, the answer is:

<{silvanormal}>

Silva moved up to a weight class he did not belong to and beat a former champ. McGregor moved down to avoid tough competition. When he fought at his optimal weigh without cutting weight, he tapped.

Prime Anderson Silva is the GOAT MMA striker.

Anderson is the best MMA striker of all time, so durrrr....

Yet he’d get KOd by him...
Conor boxed the king of boxing for 10 rounds.
He outstrikes any welterweight and most middleweights.

Good post.

Nobody in the UFC comes close to Silva's striking in his prime and even now. The only person i can think of that comes anywhere near him is Micheal Venom Page of Bellator but even he does not have Silva's finesse.

McGregor can only punch, and he really can only punch with his left hand.

when was the last time McGregor hurt anyone with anything besides a left hand? never. while Anderson has KO'd people with kicks, knees, punches, elbows etc.,
