Nice fear-mongering attempt. It's not like there is a federally-mandated textbook that all teachers need to teach out of. The Secretary of Education has relatively little power in setting policy for the schools.

I think that the federal government should stay out of education policy altogether, for what it's worth. Let the states and local governments handle it. Abolish the Department of Education. I don't think there's much need for it.
