Heed my warning delusional bullies everywhere! Let this Betch serve as an example, you must be honest with yourself about your own abilities, do not try to pull a McGregor or you too may end up as a literal cartoon to be mocked by all.

Enjoy. (can't embed sorry)

That's pretty great.

Not enough claymation the world.

Hell, it was the most money she ever made, why not. She had everything to win and not much to lose. She pushed the right buttons to get Crazy Honda going, and Mr. Clean saw the $$$$$ and said OK. This is what's most interesting about WMMA really, the drama. Pretty good fight when someone gets KO'ed, face plants with ass straight up like that. It was like a cartoon.

She was just trying to hype up a fight that was simply just another showcase for Ronda.

She got to fight in a PPV main event against the biggest name in the sport and got the biggest payday of her career and is now ranked top 5 without ever having to face anyone that is even near a top fighter in the weight class.

She lost brutally but so does everyone else against Ronda. Everything worked out just fine for Bethe.

She lost 100% of her dignity and any respect anyone may have had for her.

But money is important too so you have a point. Too bad she will forever be viewed as a joke. She could have made plenty of money not talking shit (like Cat) only to be humiliated in under a minute.

The only way a person can maximize his or her potential is to be delusionally optimistic about it. This has been studied in behavioral psychology. In layman's terms: if your ultimate goal is 100, you're more likely to achieve no more than 80. To achieve 100, you have to set your goal at 120, even though that isn't realistically obtainable.

If Bethe Correia had more realistic expectations of her abilities, she would've never challenged Rousey, and she would've never gotten that 30k contender money, or the 3 minute exposure she got playing Rousey's foil. She's maximized her potential by being delusionally optimistic.

Just goes to show how infinitely shallow wMMA is.

People are talking about the Ronda fight but not the Holm one where she taunted her then got KO'd directly after lol

Would you have more respect for her if she had just continued her average life as a no-name office worker, rather than getting into MMA?

When you think about it, she's probably done more and gone further in this sport with less athleticism and pedigree than anyone in the past decade. That deserves some respect IMO.
