Beta-Alanine "The Next Creatine"

I take ~2 gm PWO & ~2 gm before bed. Only before bed on non-training days.

I usually just guestimate the grams, I guess I should actually get an accurate measure from now on.
 
Does beta-alanine expire? Is it good for a couple years?

And i'm still not really sure I understand about dosing. Has a consensus been reached on whether to take larger doses for the first 12 weeks? I've also read in some places (can't remember where) that after the first 12 weeks or so, carnosine levels have increased and you might not have to take any more? Is this the kind of thing that maybe instead of taking large doses for 12 weeks then going down to a maintenance dose, you could just take in 6g/day for 12 weeks, then cycle it off for some amount of time?

Sorry if this information is in this thread somewhere, I read through it but possible I didnt put it all together.
