best wrestlers (in the world) are gonna get beat in Future UFC/MMA WRESTLING IS NOT BEST MMA BASE

A kid with his first day at practice is considered a wrestler and Alexander Karelin is also considered a wrestler so virtually everybody that steps into the MMA ring may be considered a "wrestler"

This thread is about the fact that the very best wrestlers...
(the wrestlers that beat)
Usmam
Cejudo
John Jones
Daniel Cormier
Dan Henderson
Mark Coleman
Kevin Randleman
(In wrestling)
Can't come over and beat them in MMA

Since THEY are better wrestlers and wrestling is supposedly the best base for MMA they should be able to come over and use their superior wrestling to beat them in MMA...just like they did in wrestling

They dont

And wrestling dosent dominate soccerkick MMA

King Mo
And
Dan Henderson did great but certainly wrestling dosent dominate SOCCERKICK MMA the way it dominates American MMA

We're seeing more and more big fights where it never even goes to the ground and the scramble exists just to get back to the feet

knees and soccerkicks DESTROY wrestlers

Big time..

If you can use em'

Wrong ... That whole “the next generation will only train “MMA” not individual martial arts”, has been totally debunked ..

All great fighters still have specIalist skills ..yes well rounded ... but they still rely on that certain arts more than Others and that will never change

Looks like the majority of us disagree with you based on the 2 likes you got and the hundreds everyone else got calling you an idiot.

Sherdog democracy
(and writing the English language)
in action...lol

Problem is only 5% understand the thread

The other 95% think wrestling is the best base for MMA

If that were true...

Alireza Heidari
(A Man who is 3-0 vs Dan Cormier) in wrestling

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alireza_Heidari

Would come over and beat him in MMA

So how come all the wrestlers that BEAT MMA's best wrestlers dont come over and take that big MMA $$payday$$

They certainly make NOTHING in wrestling...

well all you said is irrelevant since wrestling is the best base for mma and will continue to be so.
wrestling > all other combat sports

Wrong, wrestling alone will lose against BJJ 90% all the time, look at the first UFC

what you are think of is wrestling + submission defence (from BJJ or other grappling base) so it's not wrestling alone anymore.
if you take fully unidimensionnal fighters BJJ>wrestling and other combat sport, again Watch the first UFCs
you guys try to push the idea that submissions and sub defense are wrestling which they are not.

It's almost stunning how bad your reasoning is.

Why doesn't Heidari do MMA? Idk. Maybe because he loves wrestling? Maybe because he doesn't want to get CTE? Maybe because he has other career aspirations?

There are a thousand reasons why someone might not do MMA even if they could make some money at it. There's a basic philosophical concept called underdetermination. Please learn it.

Do you believe that wrestling is a better base for MMA than shooto???

Well not a single one of our MMA Champions are the very best wrestlers on the planet

so every single one of the MMA Wrestling champions have a long list of men that beat them on the wrestling mat

how come none of those guys come over to get the big MMA paydays?

Do you believe WRETLING is a better base for MMA than shooto??

You're making me repeat myself. I've already listed a number of reasons why someone wouldn't go into cagefighting. You're just in denial. When a necessary premise of your argument is that "the only reason someone wouldn't go into MMA doesn't is because they would be bad at it" then you know you fucked up.

It's balancing out more with more strikers based fighter being able to deal with wrestlers, but a big portion of the champs will always be wrestlers. Cormier, Usman, Cejudo, Khabib are all strong wrestlers at the core. It's not just the style, but wrestlers are known to be mentality extremely strong due to the training being so hard compared to other disciplines. Say what you want but wrestling training feels much more terrible than kickbox, bjj, boxing training.

That’s the reality, wrestling creates athletes who are insanely physically and mentally strong... that’s the real reason why wrestlers transition the best to mma, it also filters the real tough guys from the normal guys, they pick up striking much better than strikers pick up wrestling or bjj guys pick up striking.

Also because its a NCAA sport, so it tends to have more professionalism in it compared to other Martial arts

Yeah I'm singling out wrestlers because they are the flavor of the month but it applies to all over "specializers"
They've been "flavor of the month" for 20 years now. How long has wrestling been declared the best base for mma? It's been like that since guys like Kerr and Randy were laying waste to fools in their prime runs in the 90s-early 2000s. I don't think you can call the love wrestling gets a fad or anything like that. It's pretty much taken for granted that wrestlers tend to make better fighters than guys coming from other bases.

Ha ha, I love these moronic knee-jerk reaction threads. Didn't even bother reading it. Just came to laugh at dumb people <45>

They'll continue to train in five different martial arts then "hot glue" them all together and call it MMA because that's the most profitable way to run a gym not the smartest way to gain MMA skills

Haha

You got me

Smart guys never read stupid threads

Thats how you know the thread is stupid

Thats a cute little cartoon

How come they haven't dominated SOCCERKICK MMA for the last 20 years

Wrestling dominates American MMA

thats it

Wrestling doesn't create stronger tougher athletes it attracts stronger tougher athletes

Sports dont create toughness they REVEAL it
