In your guys opinion who do you believe had the best and worst debut in 2012?

My opinion:

Best: Ryan Jimmo's 7 Second KO of Anthony Perosh at UFC 149 or Glover Teixeira's brutal dominance over Kyle Kingsbury at UFC 146.

Worst: Hector Lombard losing against Tim Boestch at the same event.

Goooo!

Best- Ronda Rousey.

Won a belt without even fighting.

Worst- Lombard, just because of how underwhelming (to put it mildly) his performance was. Bigfoot is also someone to consider, but tbf, he was fighting the best HW in the world.

Best: Hot Japanese fuzzy pen translator lady.

Worst: Anik.

Stephen Thompson vs. Dan Stittgen has candidates for both.

Best Debut: Pen Translator Lady
Worst Debut: Lombard (even tho he won that fight)

Glover Teixeira's brutal dominance over Kyle Kingsbury at UFC 146.

Glover's murder of Maldonado wasn't too shabby either. A great first year in the UFC for him. Will be interesting to see how he handles the step up in competition in 2013.

Do re-debuts count?

Best Re-Debut: Fabricio Werdum/Jamie Varner

Best Debut: Glover Teixiera
Worst Debut: Bigfoot Silva

Glover Teixiera and Lombard are my answers.

Ryan had a seven second knockout, not really telling of his Krotty abilities.

Haha, I had never seen "to be fair" shortened to three letters.

Lombard didn't have his best performance, but no way was it worse than Bigfoot being beaten to a bloody pulp by Cain, the beatdown was a serious blood bath.

Yet some people would have granted an immediate title shot to Lombard and nobody accorded that to BF Silva.

Jimmo's debut wasn't that impressive. He did what he was supposed to do, but you can't judge someone on one punch.

Glover beating the fuck out of Kingsbury and then submitting him is far more impressive.
