I think Tank Abbott was the best guy the UFC ever had at doing interviews that had wit, attitude, humor, and intelligence. He could cut down his opponents a thousand different ways and not need to curse because he was capable of so much more than gutter level street talk. Tank pioneered this style of talking in The UFC and he was so far ahead of his time that there still hasn't been anybody who has come along who can do what Tank did on the mic. He actually had a losing record in his career yet he was depending on the time either the most popular or close to being the most popular fighter they had from his debut up until he was clearly past his prime and even then he remained fairly popular.

Other fighters ned to say "fuck" or "motherfucker" almost every single sentence as a crutch because they have nothing going on upstairs. There's very little brain cell activity in those fighters. They're "trash talkers." Tank never had to "talk trash" because the creativity and intelligence involved in what he was doing lifted it clearly above the level of mere "trash" or "shit." Tank had so many more, better ways of cutting great promos on a number of different fighters all within a single interview. The creativity, humor and wit you hear in a Tank interview is something no current UFC fighter can match. He said after his fight with Dan Severn "I thought I had a nightmare where Freddy Mercury was trying to rape me." Who else comes up with stuff like that?

Chael Sonnen was amazing in interviews. Always quick witted, and never cursed.

Conor
Bisping
Chael

are the best, in that order

Cormier and Cruz are worth mentioning. They're very articulate and intelligent, and they're likely future professional commentators.

Faber, Pettis, Cowboy was great at JRE, not exactly an interview tho.

Chael destroys both those guys..

I think so because he's so much more creative than them. The other two, especially Conor are very repetitive. Chael was also a lot funnier. A guy like Cormier is articulate but he's not witty or creative.

eh, Bisping destroyed Chael when they fought because Chael didnt have any time to pre-prepare

Conor>>>> Bisping>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Chael

I saw an interview with both Cormier and Jones in it and I think Jones had the upper hand. Cormier may be articulate but he's not good at saying things that really get under the skin of his opponent.

Speaking in terms of being gracious, respectful, and articulate, Condit comes to mind for me. I still chuckle thinking about how, after absorbing bombs from Fifth Round Lawler, Carlos calmly stated that while he was roughed up physically, he wasn't hurt at all neurologically.

Cruz ripped Dillashaw apart with that double interview.

Well, Jones beat him in a fight, is younger, more talented, more famous and seems to be a better martial artist at the moment. It's hard to come back from that, he got under Daniel's skin. But if Daniel somehow wins a rematch, that would automatically make him look better in interviews.

Kenny Florian- Kenny Florian

But Urijah can be quite good
