Wow. I'm ashamed to say that, as much of a fan of the franchise as I am, I have never seen the trailer for the original. Having seen it now, I see the parallels Ridley Scott was trying to draw with this Prometheus trailer.

Agreed. It's too bad they couldn't make a movie with Godzilla as the sole villain. It's what the trailer sold us, and they pulled a bait and switch with the MUTOs.
