Best submission artists by weight class?

no he is not, he is a colored belt champ, not a black belt champ... and Aldo's grappling being better than his striking is a big as a myth as the chupa cabras...if you havent noticed by now, the few times he has been on the ground, was nothing special, if anything to say the least, im pretty sure he very good ground game, but to say its even better than his striking is just plain old bs, for that to happened he should be something like aoki/vinny/jacare good, and he is certainly not on that level.

He also has said to love pleasing the KO loving crowd by using his stand up. He has the ability to submit people but prefers not using it. Anyone can all his BJJ a myth but his camp know how good it is better than anyone.
