Best round against Mayweather.

I haven't seen this brought up in here before, but with all of this "Mayweathers toughest fight" business, I was wondering who you all thought had the greatest round against Mayweather in his 46 pro fights.
No stupid amateur or sparring matches(Paul Spadafora) allowed. Only his pro fights.

Right off the top of my head Im thinking Sugar Shane Round 2 of their fight.
Ill probably switch my answer but off the top, i think he buckled Floyd a couple times like no one has ever done before or since.

If he didnt grab Shane's arm he would have been knocked down. I forgot what round it was, but didnt Cotto hit him and cause him to splatter blood on the front row?

It was close and could have gone either way. Floyd won a lot of early rounds. Most people see a "robbery" there because Castillo finished strong.

I actually thought Castillo's strongest rounds came in the middle of the fight (rounds 6, 7 and 9 if I remember correctly). The last 3 rounds were very, very close.

A lot of people did. Most people whose opinions I respect tend to see it as a very close fight that could have gone either way. I can see it narrowly to Floyd or Castillo, though, I tend to score it very narrowly to Floyd, but it truly was close enough to go either way. The rematch was fairly close again, but Floyd clearly took it.

Ive watched that fight 4-5 times and the best I have is a draw. It was a really good fight.

Yeah, I had it close...I think ended up leaning Castillo. But whatever controversy there was as to who the better fighter was, was erased in the rematch. PBF clearly won.

I had Castillo winning 115-113. Good fight.

the one i remember was like cotto i think was circling and threw punch where it was almost out of frustration but it actually caught mayweather. Money had seen it coming, tried to move out of the way but still ate the end of that punch. Its like it took everything cotto had to land a glancing fuckin blow on the guy.

Are you talking about that weird like left hook that Cotto through that connect with Floyd in the middle of the fight?
I remember that punch

I couldn't see a clear Castillo win no matter how many times I've seen that fight. I count it a draw every time.

Didnt the OP ask for a full ROUND and not just a couple times Floyd's been rocked? Corley, Shane, Zab, never dominated a full round. I'd have to say Cotto won a round most handily against Floyd.

Floyd in a interview said Emanuel Augustus and Cotto were his toughest fights. I haven't seen the Augutus fight was Floyd rocked by him?

To be fair, Augustus' style makes him a tough fight for anyone regardless haha.

That was on a shortlived program on HBO called KO Nation. Floyd came out looking to knock out Augustus and it turned into one of the few dogfights of his career.

Emanuel Augustus-Burton, probably the most robbed fighter in the history of the sport. His fights with Ward were legendary. Still to this day go out of my way to watch past/recent fights of his. As someone else mentioned he was a tough fight for ANYONE but tended to fight down to his competition at times.

Sorry, couldn't resist.
