Assuming these two can't take if for any reason, who are the best options?

Tony Ferguson - amazing fight but you have to scrap the Fox main event
    Pettis - good option
Khabib - UFC will never do it (Fox fight, injury prone, high chance of McG losing)
Alvarez - good option from rankings perspective but UFC will never do it
Holloway - Could probably make 155 on short notice no problem and I would like to see the rematch
    Faber - LOL

No to Alvarez, would suck to have a boring fight at that main event.

Pettis is the best option in my opinion because it will be a major test point to see where Conor is at LW. Pettis has lost two in a row but morons have no context, he has been beaten by the threat of the take-down, but he is still one of the best strikers in the sport.

Ferguson is good too but far more dangerous because of his chin and his aggressive ass submissions.

Ferguson or Khabib. UFC knows they would probably beat Conor so I get why they're hesitant

i'm sure they will want someone they can promote. so find someone conor has some kind of history with. pettis is coming off a loss and it seems like such a random fight.

i think we should look at it from the perspective of how can the UFC get the most casuals to watch which means there needs to be some drama or something. that leaves nate, cowboy, ferguson, faber

they aren't pulling ferguson from fox
they won't give nate a catchweight fight according to some twitter stuff since he wants it at 165lbs

    that leaves cowboy and faber

I say throw Pettis in there and let's have a good old fashioned Mortal Kombat style striking match. That's what we all want right?

Pettis is good option, i thought he won against Alvarez, but i'm good with Ferguson too. Khabib can fight Pettis then

If diaz doesnt work out due to weight, pull ferguson from his fight and make it for the interim. Would be a great fight. Cerrone should be the last option.

They are not going to sign anyone who is a legitimate threat to the money train. That leaves Donald Cerrone & Faber.

Ferguson & especially Khabib are way too dangerous for the golden boy & they are harder to promote than Cerrone & Faber. Pettis is also too good.

Diaz is the best option though. He got dominated at 170, but Conor won't take him at 165??
