Hi, I am planning to start training in MMA in Hong Kong, can anyone recommend which club is the best to train in Hong Kong? Also anyone know which club Donnie Yen trained in for the Flashpoint movie, where he trained in MMA, I have tried to search for this but can't find it anywhere?

If you have the budget, go for Epic MMA (abt hkd2k pm)...

I'm not sure if Donnie Yen trains at any commercial mma gym, but my friend has seen him workout at Pure Fitness at Soho b4... As far as i know, he is purple belt in bjj but not exactly sure which bjj gym or linage...

you shd check out his movie last yr, special id, thats more grappling in it...

Thanks, I will check out Epic MMA. Are they expensive, compare to other gyms? If you watch the bonus dvd of Flashpoint you will see him training in a MMA gym.

I will watch Special ID again. Thanks.

Donnie Yen trained with Triquest MMA's Thomas Fan before that movie. And the rumor about him being a purple belt is false, he does not train BJJ.

Thomas is a BJJ black belt and a UFC ref. Check out http://triquest-mma.com/en/home for the schedule.

I am thinking if Donnie Yen wanted to learn some techniques for his up and coming movie, he must have done his homework and research. So if Triquest MMA is where he had trained for his movie, shouldn't Triquest MMA be a good place to learn MMA in Hong Kong?

from what I've heard, triquest is a good place to train. Just expensive.
