Above the Law is by the far my favorite American Martial Arts film. It's an elite level 80's action film with martial arts and they left out all the typical pseudo eastern martial artsy type movie stuff. It's easily a classic.

No order here:
-Once Upon a time in China
-Fist of Legend
-Drunken Master
-Above the Law
-Out for Justice
-Hero

Tons others I really enjoyed too; it's hard to make a list like this.

For some reason I can watch Best of the Best at any time, start to finish.

No Prime Tony Jaa yet??

He was so dominant in Ong Bak.

Also, my fave fight scene ever. Bad guys do sometimes win. And sometimes the good guys gotta fight dirty, to win.

for all my jet li homies out there

Fist of legend (probably the legit bestes kung fu movie there is)
twin warriors
once upon a time in china 1-2
Lord of the wu tang (i love this movie for all my wax bro'sout there)

honorable mention the storm riders for most potential for wuxia kung fu series.
DBZ the best mix of Wuxia, pro wrestling and sci fi that we could ask for
Fatal Fury for giving us a game that bucks the ryu ken trope

Five deadly venoms

Leaving out the classics, Undisputed 2 was great IMO. Maybe I just like Michael Jai White and Scott Adkins though. They did well together in that one and the story worked. Boyka boyka boyka boyka!

I'd add...

Ip Man
Eastern Condors
Fearless
Prodigal Son
