The local kickboxing gym allows anyone who works out there to wear whatever they want during training. I see some people wearing jogging pants, some people wearing board shorts and a couple of people in like bicycle shorts. What do you guys perfer to wear for kickboxing?
I recommend you get some custom-made Aoki rainbow pants. It's either that or those hello kitty jumpoffs, you got 2 choices pal
basic wal mart athletic shorts work well, take good abuse and allow flexibility in the material afor kicking
i just wear basketball shorts(or any athletic shorts, wal-mart FTW) for non-competition training. Silky, Comfy, not too revealing. Either that or sweatpants, i try to avoid the sweatpants because i like to feel the thai pads crashing into my naked shins. Sometimes i train at another Muay Thai gym though, and those guys wear uniforms. Thai shorts, and a school shirt.
Great info, thanks. Hmmmm..... Sounds like if I got the sprall shorts I'd have to buy some tighty whiteys too.
I'd recommend it. My boxers ride up BAD, and it is annoying trying to adjust them every other second.
I'd buy mma shorts, but im a poor college student, so i settle for board shorts of comparable quality, but without the brandname.
If it's just pure stand up kickboxing, get some Muay Thai trunks. Windy Thai Trunks from Combatsports.com And make sure to wear some compression shorts under them, no one wants to see your junk.
sprawls with the split seam works very well. they also have a lot of room around the crotch area for the cup.
Gi pants loose enough to comfortably get my shin guards on and off. But I usually roll after KB and I am also VERY careful about skin diseases.
skip the shorts and just wear the cup. Then knock the mother fucker out when he's distracted by your hairy white ass.
Perhaps I was being too liberal when I said they could wear whatver they want? LOL I think I'll just get some shorts at walmart and see what their proshop sells.
