So Im on the process of buying a new punching bag that is better than the old shitty one that Ive had for years. So whats the best material for the inside.

    Sawdust or Rags or Sand

Whats the best option for not fucking up your hands so much. It seems theres not enough information on it on google that why I come to the always reliable Sherdog Forums

Most of the comments are a result of this being posted in the wrong forum. Not a huge deal of course.

As for filling, linens/rags are the absolute only way to go. As a boxing club owner, I've experimented with countless bags, and anything with sand in it is absolute garbage.

I'd also recommend pre-stuffed bags as they tend to hang better and cuts out a lot of the nonsense that comes with trying fill a bag on your own.

For manufacturer recommendations, ouslayer bags are of exceptional quality and reasonably priced. They offer a ten year warranty and have straps instead of chains. They hang better, make less noise, and you don't have to worry about broken and damaged links.

Title makes some decent bags for a "big" manufacturer. Ringside bags are horrible and should be avoided at all cost. The same can be said of nearly any bag you'd find in a department store. KO Fight Gear gets rave reviews, but I haven't used them myself.

I could post comparison pics of what I have at the gym in order to show you differences in quality if you'd like.

    Nice troll attempt.

Hanging bags are for pussies. String up a pig carcass and beat it into a living death like a man.

    lol these responses

use sand if you want to fuck your hands up even more
use sawdust if you want to be a dumb ass
use rags or make life easier and do like these guys said and buy a pre stuffed bag

Definitely not sand. Someone should make a water filled punching bag. Rags would probably be best out of your options.
