Best Female Wrestler In UFC?

fun fact for the 'it's like wnba' trollin' replies: Sara McMann had a winning record wrestling vs men in high school.

she is now, mainly because of the size advantage i think.

Tatiana Suarez aka Tatiana Padilla has 2 world championship bronzes at ages 18 and 20, losing each time only to the gold medalist who also happens to be the most successful wrestler of all time ever. So if not for that roadblock she could conceivably have been a dual world champ from age 18.
she's still in her early 20s whereas McMann was washed up by the time she started MMA and never trained seriously at it. Plus McMann's silvers were from the very first years of women's wrestling in the Olympics. By the time Suarez was around, McMann couldn't even make the US team anymore.

yeah the size helps a lot compared to someone like Esparza but that's the way the division is going, Esparza could get away with being an atomweight sized collegiate wrestler and still be the best in the semi pro era, now it's gone full pro it's inevitable bigger and better versions are coming along.

When esparza actually sets up her shots they're really good....I'd side with Claudia though.

Want to see more of her against skilled grapplers right now. Looks promising. And nice that she is not a lay-and-pray type, either.

Esparza isn't even the best wrestler in her division. She does well against girls with no wrestling, but I can almost guarantee Claudia stuffs her td's and puts Carla on her back.

Gadelha ducked Esparza twice. Ducked her hard.
