In light of Anderson Silva pulling out of 198 (FUCK) and recently rewatching Pat Barry vs Cheick Kongo, I was wondering what everyone's vote is for best comeback ever

If I omitted something major in your mind, let me know and I'll see if I can edit it in afterwards. I left off Edgar/Maynard 2 because it ended up in a draw, but luckily Edgar can still get some love seeing as the rubber match with Maynard was just as good of a comeback if not better

Fedor vs Randleman because Fedor looked like his neck should have broke.

Magny/Lombard for me since I'm a big fan of Neil. From the ones listed, it's between Kongo/Barry and Silva/Sonnen.

GSP's comeback vs. Johnny Hendricks at 5:01 of the 5th.

I don't think there really can be a better one than Silva/Sonnen. Silva got absolutely dominated for 22 minutes and pulled off a hail mary sub.

Still, Fedor nuthuggers are still gonna say Fedor/Randleman.

This thread is actually Silva vs Fedor to see who is GOAT

Good ol Percival The Unmerciful

I was gonna say I'm surprised as shit Fedor/Randleman has 5 so far and Barry/Kongo has 0 considering it looked like Kongo died at least 4 times, but it IS a legit comeback, so I can't be too mad tbh

It's Silva Sonnen 1. Fedor nuthuggers will make it look close in scoring.

Diego vs Kampmann.

Diego came back strong and stole the fight away.

For sure Fedor/Randleman was a legit comeback, but it's nowhere near the level of Silva/Sonnen. I don't even think it's as good as Kongo/Barry.

Agreed. I'd even venture Mir/Nog 2 is pretty fucking close considering the manner that Mir won was bonkers

You mean Bigfoot Silva vs Overeem? :^)

Its hard to say. In anderson vs chael 1, anderson was never in a really dangerous position, where as in kongo vs barry, kongo mightve been unconcious twice in the fight.

Weidman/Rockhold would've been if Chris had beaten Luke after that attempted murder in the third. I truly thought that he was going to do it when he managed to get up from the floor... If only :(

Frank Shamrock vs. Tito Ortiz

I have to pick Silva/Sonnen 1.

Never in my life have I went through a more extreme shift in emotion. That shit was unbelievable. Then, of course, Anderson acted like it was always going to happen and all part of the plan.

I want to call out Big Nog vs Silvia. I haven't seen the fight in years, but I remember it looking very bad for Nog before the guillotine. Also that surviving fucking head kick he ate from Herring in his UFC debut.

Frankie coming back from the brink of being knocked out to KO Maynard was the one that had me up and cheering. Hughes/Trigg was one of the first PPVs that I actually ordered, so it has a sentimental spot for me, too. Fedor/Randleplex was crazy, too though. Andy/Uncle Chael was probably the most pure domination that turned the other way on a sub of all things. Lot of good choices in there.
