Judo: Ewan Beaton. Went to a few trainings camps ran by him. The guys legit. He grew up and started his judo career in Manitoba but he's now the head provincial coach for Saskatchewan. Used to or still helps coaching the national team.

I don't know about the best but my BJJ coach Curtis Brigham out of WAMMA is great and gets a lot of praise in the grappling and MMA community.

BC is full of some great coaches. Marcus Soares is likely the most well known, from the old Carlson Gracie team.

Given that Ari or whatever name he's adopted is a fraud whos desperately legitimising himself and his weird history on sherdog i think its highly likely it him putting in shout outs for himself.

I haven't trained in Canada but Elliott Bayev was quite impressive to me on his instructional. His school has put out some really good competitors as well.

    It was a joke lol.
Though his affiliate Keith Owen's gym is like 10 minutes from me(Idaho).
I go to another local gym.

My thoughts exactly. He's from the Kootenays in BC, Western Canadian champ, and a hell of a Kimura.
