This might help posters here who are planning on vacationing to Las Vegas on deciding which buffets to check out.

I live in Vegas and I've been to a lot of buffets and food places here. Previous to last night, I would say that the best buffet I've had was the "Studio B buffet" at the "M" resort.

But I had some friends from out of state that have never been to Vegas before come over and we walked the strip last night. We ended up having dinner at the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace. It just slightly edged Studio B as the best buffet I've had.

The food selection was decent, but the quality of the food and ingredients was fantastic, as well as the service. On a Monday night, it cost us $55.12 per person, not including alcohol.

What were some of the main draws of the buffet?
For me, quality crab legs (king, snow, dungeoness, it doesn't matter) determines whether or not I go to even spend my dollar there.

I got violent food poisoning from eating at a buffet in Vegas. Not sure what one as I tried a few different ones that first day and a half. Ruined the vacation for sure. My advice is do not eat sea food when you are in the middle of the desert.

btw, Bellagio buffet also gets my vote.

the buffet at 'M' was good. too bad the hotel is not on the strip. Wynn buffet is really good. The worst is MGM.

My memory sucks so I forgot which one was the best buffet I had there. I've tried lots and lots of them and I just remember that most of them sucked.

I've only gone to the Wynn's buffet and it was good. Is it a Las Vegas thing to serve king crab legs cold?

My parents went to Vegas and the most interesting story they came back with involved my Dad violently shitting himself on a bus. I wonder if more people are gonna come forward with similar experiences

The last time I went to Vegas the one we kept going back to was the Mandalay Bay for a nice hungover brunch. We didn't do buffets for dinner.

They had crab legs last night which was pretty good. Not sure if they always have it, though. Many buffets have seafood nights and I think last night, the buffet was.

Haven't been to buffets in a while, but Bellagio, Rio(used to be good, don't know now it's been a few years), and M stand out. If you just want a lot of food without a lot of quality, Orleans or a stations casino, Red Rock or Green Valley are more, but a little better than others.
Need to check out the Bucchanal buffet.
TS, do you do the sushi?
If so, where do you go?
Iv'e tried about 6 or 7, and about 3 stood out.

I usually get comps for the Luxor buffet, so I normally eat there. It is ok. Some gross folks in there though.

What's the cheapest buffet that won't give you horrible food poisoning?

HOLY SMOKES $55 bucks for a buffet?? Is that the standard price in Vegas?

Nope, I think it's actually the most expensive buffet I've ever been to.

It's very rare for people to get food poisoning. I live and eat here. I've yet to have food poisoning and I've been to the buffets here too many times to count.

The buffets in Vegas are the best of the best compared to the rest of the buffets located in the United States.

No, but the big strip casinos are priced like that because of seafood and other items. There's off strip buffets that are a lot cheaper, but the quality isn't there. Excalibur is fairly reasonable, but haven't been there in 5 years. Palms, New Orleans aren't to pricey. Sunday's everywhere are more.
