Glasshouses, you are correct! I am thinking, you have seen much of this before?

Fail by not including Cody G. It's between him and Conor.

Mousasi has some wicked straight up boxing.

need to see a bit more than 1st minute haymaker knockouts and the Cruz fight before considering him with the rest. Amateur record is not enough.

Out of those you mentioned, I'm going to go with Masvidal.

    Mousasi
    Masdival
    Gus
    Conor
    Gastelum

Gambrandt would be in the 2/3 slot if he was included

He's not just relying on power. The reason he hasn't been able to display his technique longer is because his opponents can't withstand it. That's actually a credit to him. Then you have the Cruz fight which was masterful and destroys the notion that he's just been lucky up until that point.

Mousasi, but that doesn't make him the best MMA striker of them (which would probably be Conor, although it's obviously arguable). Mousasi's defense is on a different level, the worst shots he's taken have coincidentally been kicks. Mousasi's game could actually be a bit too boxing-oriented.

Mousasi has probably the best jab in MMA, but that doesn't mean he has great all around boxing, wouldn't put him in the top 5.

That's exactly why you can't put him up there with the other 5, his skill has not been on display as much as their skill has. I wrote you can't put Cody in there "yet" in the thread post. I don't think he's just a power puncher and that he has a lot of skill but we have not seen anywhere near as much of it as we've seen from Gus, Kelvin, Moose, Masvidal and Conor. I expect him to be the second best boxer behind Conor in the UFC in the future.

No buddy, it actually helps his case that he's putting guys away instead of spending 3-5 rounds in there with them. Not his fault his opponents can't survive.

No this thread is not about power but technique. Manuwa is not on my list for that reason.

    Personally I would have

    Conor
    Masvidal
    Gus
    Gastelum
    Mousasi

Like I said I suspect Cody is up there but I need to see him box for longer periods of time against decent opposition before putting him in there.

Best boxer in MMA is a moot point but Stipe has to be mentioned. He was at least a state gg champ, perhaps national, cant remember.

Holloway, Cody, and Aldo all seem like better candidates imo. Conor is certainly up there as well.

I think you can bump out Gastelum for Garbrandt

Maybe Mousasi for Cody but not Kelvin, has some of the most under appreciated boxing in the UFC.

Im too tired to figure out the order, but Swanson, Holloway, and Lawler can all bump Gastelum and Dos Anos off the list. Dos Anos depends heavily on the threat of his wrestling, to make his boxing more effective.
