Who makes the best ones??? Everlast? Adidas?, kofg? Rival???

I'm doing a few local comps over the next month or so and I don't want to use the disgusting community gloves. Plus this purchase will give me something to review.

FTR I need 2 pairs, one red, one blue. So really I'd like to get 2 different brands then compare them. Also, in looking for 12oz versions.

Thanks.

Not sure how it is in China, but USA Boxing does not allow you to provide your own gloves. Gloves are provided before the bout, and in most cases, there are only a few pairs for all fighters on the night. 8th fight on the card? Sweaty ass gloves. That's just the way it is.

Who is the sanctioning body for ammy events in China? Is it just AIBA or do they have something that operates under AIBA like USA Boxing?

The same in the UK. Not sure if it was mentioned as a joke, but obviously KOFG in the OP don't have AIBA equipment. Rival's are not AIBA approved either though I'm guessing they are USA Boxing approved. Companies with AIBA approved goods are:

Adidas
Everlast
Greenhill
Starpak
Top Ten

And I think that's it. I've used all the AIBA gloves and they're all relatively similar.

Maybe you don't need to stick to AIBA gloves though, no idea what ruleset you're fighting for or if this actually has anything to do with AIBA.

i just used adidas gloves and everlast and the adidas is a way better !!

Sorry, top ten was the one I was thinking of rather than kofg. The only reason I thought rival had some was because title has some on their amateur boxing section.

As for the ruleset, not exactly sure, this will be the first time competing with gi's organization. I want to say it's aiba but like everything else in china, they just call it like they want to with little regard towards real organizations/rules, etc.

I'd clarify what you need to do as far as gloves/headguards are concerned before you make a purchase. For example are you sure the event doesnt provide the gloves, and if not, what criteria do the gloves you bring need to meet aside form being 12oz? Talk to your coaches.

All events provide gloves. What if the guy you go up against beings his own gloves? You don't know if he beats them up on the heavy bag everyday. For this reason every single event provides gloves. Especially aiba and usa boxing sanctioned events

We know that, but the dude is in China. I have ZERO experience with whoever sanctions events there and how they go about doing so.

Mino's advice is spot on, I'd do exactly what he suggested. Good luck!
