Not really. That is kind of a fairy tale we are told.

It's just the least shitty situation anyone has found yet, but the story isn't exactly concluded yet either. Let's see how we do when the post WWII order falls, and climate change and technology innovation bring about global chaos, before we declare that we aren't monsters ourselves.

Don't really know how to respond to that one. A lot of assumptions about things that are yet to happen. No one has a crystal ball.

We'll have to wait and see. Obviously I don't have the same political leanings as you do or think some of things you're predicting will come to pass. But regardless I hope things shake out well for everybody in the end.

Communism is just as bad as facism. Perhaps even worse if you measure it purely on the amount of human suffering each has caused in their short histories.

You realize people can make the same silly argument about 'that wasn't real fascism' that you make about communism right? 'Nazi Germany was just lacking the proper checks and balances...'

But how do you have fascism without authoritarianism?

Communism is seen as a economic system. This is why you like to conflate communism and socialism, because they are economic cousins. You could in theory have communism in a checked and balanced system.

Fascism is literally a government of authoritarianism. Like that is what it is selling. It is the core of fascism.

The only kind of Communism that is realistic to implement requires an authoritarian government.
