it's in Dublin in march don;t known much about Ricardo Cordoba to be honest but i see he has a win over Celestino Caballero .

Dunne is a classy fighter , but he has a weak chin and does like to keep his hands low and roll

what type of fighter is Caballero , does he have ko power any info would be appreciated

hope dunne wins a fellow dubliner will aswell cheer for him

i think brian peters and co think they can beat Cordoba they have in the past turn down title shost most recently Celestino Caballero .

a lot of Cordoba's recent fights have gone to decisions so maybe dunne's people fancy there chances

I fucken hate Dunne. He's such a can. Have no idea how he's in line for a title shot.

*praying he gets splattered*

well i mean he was a european champion and is coming off 3 decent wins and money talks .

the 02 is going to sell 10,000 tickets in a few days ,Cordoba's going to get by far the biggest pay day of his career 3 or 4 times what he could expect against anyone else outside of the 3 titliest

Cordoba is a big 122 standing at 5'8 and he is a slick boxer. Expect him to win.

what you known about Cordoba Tan-Tam ?

boxrec have him ranked 10th , but steve brunce was saying he should be undefeated as the 2 draws against Wladimir Sidorenko were in GERMANY and in his split decision defeat to Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym the only non asian judge had it to Cordoba

Yeah, it's a good fight for both of them. For different reasons.

Is Darren Sutherland popular in Ireland? I like him a lot.

well he won a bronze medal at the olympics so he's good to be huge . Every time i saw him fight i thought he going to kill it in the pro's he has so much power .

there could be a second coming at super middle weight of the irish vs english for legit world titles at smw ala eubank and been vs collins . with british 165 gold medist james de galle and Olympic bronze medallist Tony Jeffries at 178 all fighting professionally at supermiddle weight .

you known James de gall beating Darren Sutherland in the olympics was a huge shock cause they had fought 5 previous time with Darren Sutherland winning all of them but lossing the big one .

also there 3 cubians fighting in ireland
Mike Perez Mike Perez
Alexei Acosta Boxing Record Archive • View topic - boxrec.com still has barrera fighting on 1/31/2009.

and Luis Garcia Luis Garcia
who also fights at smw who beat Emilio Correa in the cubian championship but didn't get picked for the olympics because Emilio Correa father is national icon and former olympic gold medist .Emilio Correa went on to win the siver model lossing to england james degalle .

so you can see how exciting boxing is in ireland at the moment

watchout for Paul McCloskey too he's a lot like dunne though great classy boxer but doesn't have a great chin or power Paul McCloskey

I hope Dunne wins because the 02 will be crazy afterwards

I'm glad this fight is taking place. Cordoba deserves the payday and easy win after being screwed over all those times.

Peters and dunnes camp have never really taken risks they wont fight monroe for the european title and when dunne was blasted away in 90 secs by Martinez the latter was the mandatory contender so they had to fight him. Dunne fought pickering for the vacant EBU title, I think that shows how much of a duck he is, he waited for hunt to vacate the belt before chalenging for it. Cordoba is the WBA champ but was ranked as 9th contender by the ring before defeating caballero. Iv never seen him fight but from what iv read and heard he should win. Regardless of weather Dunne wins or not he'll never beat Vasquez or Marquez. He woudnt even beat Martinez or Monroe in my opinion who will meet later this month for the european title...and neither of whom are top 10 in the world. Though i could see Monroe holding a world title some day.
Either Dunnes camp see Cordoba as a good style for dunne, or they realise dunne isnt going to make it and have taken a chance, if he wins, a title defence against Wayne McCulagh and a rematch with Cordoba would make Dunne a nice few bob. If he losses, he may still fight McCulagh, maybe more than once, or maybe even a european title shot with a few bum opponents thrown in along the way will earn him some not bad purses. A fight with McCulagh cud also be for the irish title, which dosnt mean a whole lot but Im sure neither camp will turn down a belt.

Cordoba easily picks apart Dunne in this one.

Luis Perez is a much better boxer than Dunne and Cordoba basically did whatever he wanted to with his reach and boxing last time out. Against someone as open to getting hit as Dunne I see a stoppage. Yeah, Dunne/Munroe makes more sense for both than this and Munroe/Kiko II. I mean it would only be for the EBU strap but at least he'd have a chance of winning rather than....not.

bumpety bump

Fair play to Dunne, like a lot of others I thought he would get beat

Good fight
