First off, great win. Although the win does little for him, considering it's over an up and coming fighter, that really had no business fighting a caliber of fighter as high as Benson.

Striking - During the fight and after reviewing the footage a few times again, it's come to my attention that almost all of Benson's strikes are telegraphed way in advance. This was evident in the take down in round two when Rustam capitalized by countering with a mean punch during an attempted Benson leg kick.

Take downs - Sloppy, neck open, and telegraphed.

Submissions and ground control - Although he won by sub, a more masterful fighter would have finished earlier, when Benson had full back control with hooks in and couldn't seal the deal. This is like having your date pop a few xanax pills with a bottle of Jack Daniels and you still can't get no play.

Conditioning - 10/10

Conclusion: Benson is still a good fighter that will beat most of the top guys in the division. Why? Because they are more sloppy than he is, which makes him better.

But when you're talking top dogs of the division, Benson will lose 99% of the time.

He's been fighting top dogs for years and only lost to 1 person.

damn everyone but pettis must be total bums for losing to him then

Damn I'd hate to see the holes in the other guys games.

He really needs to improve his striking, mainly his boxing. He has almost no jab, and can't use his punches to set up anything else, therefore he struggles getting takedowns.

Benson has so many holes in his game that only Pettis has beaten him since 2007.

So you think Gil beats Bendo the next 99 times in a row?
So you think Thomson beats Bendo the next 99 times in a row?
Pettis?

Holy shit it's Jack Slack!

Yeah but I mean Pettis is a real can, you'd have to really suck to lose to him.

Top dogs of the division? Lol who is that exactly that Benson does not rank among them?

Benson always leaves his neck open when he goes for takedowns. No one has been able to take advantage of it either.

So who are these top dogs that Benson will lose 99% of the time to? Pettis is one but you said DOGS. Benson has pretty much beat every other top guy in the division

He will lose 99% of the time to Thiago ''Pitbull'' Alves and CB ''The Doberman'' Dollaway

The only thing I got out of this is you drug women to fuck them.

Dude, go to sleep. And try not to wake up again.

Wow you made my night, sir. I love seeing pure stupidity right before bed.

Watching him fight was beautiful. He is on the skill level of Jon Jones and Anderson Silva. Bendo was able to make one the best wrestlers in the UFC look completely defenseless. Khabilov was not able to keep Bendo down or control him at all. Bendo won every round of the fight. He is a rare, and true, martial artist. He will fight and beat Khabib just as handily next.

Pettis will lose the third bout versus Bendo.

Unless you said that before the fight, you should really stfu. Because it really just sounds like you are playing monday morning quarterback, downgrading the level of the fighter AFTER the outcome, which is absolutely pathetic. What is even more pathetic is that after downgrading Khabilov, you then turn to Benson and criticize him for the fight not being easier! Ridiculous.
