Ben's win works in favor of Mighty Mouse's position

With that impressive victory over the always tough Tim Elliot, Nguyen breathed more life into the 125 pound title picture and lent even more strength to DJ's stance on prioritizing his flyweight defense. Not too long ago, Elliot put up a good fight against DJ even if he was still dominated. There are still tons of intriguing match ups to make for DJ at 125. An Elliot win would have left many underwhelmed and contributed to the sentiment that 125 is shallow. However, because it was Ben, it paints him as a worthy rising contender. Even if we know MMA math doesn't work and styles make fights, most casuals don't know that and it suggests to them that Ben finished the job against Elliot where DJ "couldn't." Fans with their hearts and minds in the right place know Mighty Mouse is justified in this current debacle with the UFC. I stand with the Mighty one.
