Ben Henderson's recent domination of Nate Diaz really makes me appreciate how good Frankie Edgar actually is. I can admit that I have been a little bit bitter since April 10th 2010. I did not want to admit BJ lost even though the 2nd fight was pretty cut and dry. I even bet against Edgar when fought Grey Maynard 11 times in a row. I kind of loosened up a bit after his first fight with Bendo and I thought he won the 2nd. Although seeing how dominant Henderson was in his title defense really made me realize that everything Frankie has accomplished is incredible. That said I am now officially an Edgar fan and will continue to root for him especially against Aldo. I just thought I'd try to switch it up a little tonight and show Frankie a little love.

It's such a shame that the time Frankie was champ. Frankie huggers were nowhere to be found and BJ fan boys kept everyone in denial that he never 'beat' BJ twice

Call it what you will but I wasn't a fan of Edgar's until I sat back and looked at what he did. I don't get how I"m "nuthugging", but hey your opinion is as valid as anyone else's! I admit I was in denial. And I still don't think he beat BJ the first time. However I can't compliment another fighter and admit I was wrong? I'm baffled...wouldn't you want a fighter you like to be appreciated by BJ "Fan Boys"? Or should I continue on with the attitude that Frankie sucks?

Fact of the matter is, Frankie has a spectacular ability to make everyone look shitty fighting him because of his style. People accusing Bendo of point fighting should watch any of his fights besides the Frankie Edgar ones. Then watch Frankie Edgar's second BJ Penn fight, and witness true point fighting rear its ugly head.

So after two bj penn fights, two Maynard fights, and two bendo fights you weren't sure if Frankie wad a great fighter, but bendo beating Nate diaz, who is a great match up for bendo, made you go "even though I've seen Frankie in six title fights I wasn't sure he was great until the guy he lost to defended once"

I mean it makes logical sense. Your name is based on the names you beat, and if they continue to do well your stock should go up, right? But there is a problem of fighters changing and growing. Bendo is the perfect example. Against Diaz, Bendo showed some extremely effective punches, something quite rare in this prior bouts, as good a fighter he was even then.

I am a little peeved though. Ive seen this a lot ("Man, Edgar was so good, look at what Bendo did to Diaz") and its sort of taking Bendo's thunder out of the victory and giving it to Edgar, Which is stupid

Man, I can't stand Edgar's style of fighting. Pure point fighting with touch'n'go, surprise TD's, and the exact same thing for 5 rounds.
Can't believe he gets another 5 round slot. And even when he "wins", almost nothing happens.

I hate the fact that he's getting an auto-title shot in a division he hasn't fought in. I wouldn't mind if he just retired.
