When I setup my feet, I use to set up on my toes and then was coached to keep my feet flat but I've never felt comfortable. I don't feel I can drive and my arch doesn't feel stable. How do you guys setup and why? Would it be okay to go back to my old setup or is that better technique?
I think it's a personal thing but something to think about is if you're planning on competing in powerlifting some Feds have rules on foot placement. For my I bench with my feet flat and also wearing flat shoes. I feel like I can get better leg drive that way. Also feel more stable than being on my toes
Coached to keep feet flat but I still don't feel comfortable in that I don't feel as strong. Maybe it's a mental thing because I bench that way for so long.
