News Ben Rothwell vs. Gian Villante set for UFC 249 (April 18)

Very weird fight lol, not sure why Villante decided to move up to HW. Rothwell by early TKO or split decision...

Lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov (c) vs. Tony Ferguson
Middleweight Uriah Hall vs. Ronaldo Souza
Women's Strawweight Jéssica Andrade vs. Rose Namajunas
Heavyweight Ben Rothwell vs. Gian Villante

My first thought was "no way Ben makes 205". Silly me

 

He started off as a HW, but was a LHW for the majority of his career. Don't know why he decided to move back up now lol.

If Ben isn't as tentative in regards to his striking, as he has been in his last few fights.. he should starch Villante.

 

He's on a two win streak and he looked impressive in both fights. Why would he not be in the UFC?

Nah Gian's getting finished pretty early imo.

If hes being KO'd by Shogun then he doesn't have the chin to take shots from Ben. Pretty sure Gian is moving back up cuz hes lazy.
