BeLOLtor aiming for Baroni vs Karo?

so much for that. I don't mind, but they've recently become pretty soft on their tournament system and their stance on not signing people cut from the UFC.

Parisyan has one fight left on his contract. Both of these guys are big names, but obviously their time has passed.

This Summer Series seems to be more about Pride 2004 than Bellator 2014.

They are fun fights, good for a main card slot, but not much more than that.

Personally, I dont mind fights like Baroni/Karo or Thompson/Lashley in order to move ONE on to the tournament for name value...

As much as Bellator wants to build new talent, no one watching SpikeTV casually tunes into a card full of unknown prospects on their way up... Allowing the aging 'meh's of MMA to fight each other for a spot is a great way to bring in a 'name' without handing out too many tourney spots to undeserving 'names'...

Im quite positive that the UFC actively puts together fights with less talent and less interest, albeit mostly on their undercards... Why no beef for every fight they give on FS1 or FightPass that isnt perfect?

Seriously though, getting bent out of shape because Bellator is giving two career MMA fighters/entertainers a fight against each other on one of their many cards... Thats just lame and really trying to split hairs to find issues... I suppose all those career MMA fighters who we entertained ourselves by watching while the sport grew, they dont deserve a paycheck anymore, eh?

Karo would sub Baroni easy..

Nothing wrong with this fight.. Bellator put on just as good fights as UFC..

No problem with this fight. Good undercard bout. Would have preferred Karo stayed retired though

UFC re-signed Baroni simply so Strikeforce wouldnt have another 'named' fighter.

I'd take this fight over either of them getting destroyed by some young up and comer any day of the week.

Unless that young up and comer was Michael Page.

Hmmm...usually Bjorn does it right with guys like Karo and Baroni and feeds them to his homegrown talent to add name value to their resumes. If this is true, Bjorn's doing it wrong.

Baroni is not a big name...and Karo would murk him.

It should be on the prelims but not the main card. I'm okay with it. Both of them are at the same spot in their careers and like I said, this would make a decent prelim fight for a Bellator card. I'm still kind of interested in Karo's career. Not kind of, I am interested in it!

as long as its on the undercard. personally i'd prefer if they were sacrificed to be a name win on some prospects record.

both way past their best but i'll watch either of them fight anyone.
