This is ahead of Bellator Newcastle: Pitbull vs. Scope which is sold out by Chalmers tweet
 
About time, fights shown 24 hours late on a channel (5Spike) that's a dumping ground for the crap their main channel (C5 that nobody watches anyway) can't shoehorn into their woeful schedule.

If Bellator want to make inroads into the UK they need to be on a channel that treats them as more of a priority than shows like "Gypsies on benefits and proud".
 
This better involve the U.S shows being shown live, not just the ones taking place over here.

I have a feeling it's just the European series cards but better to make baby steps than none at all.
 
BELLATOR U.K. TV DEAL

Bellator announced a deal with TV 5 in the U.K. and will air at least six live European shows this year. The shows will be based around creating U.K. and European stars, with the first show on 2/9 from Newcastle headlined by Patricky Pitbull Freire vs. former U.K. lightweight champion Ryan Scope.

The show won’t be airing on either Paramount or DAZN in the U.S. It will also be airing on a number of other channels in Europe. This is part of the initiative to target the U.K. in particular and Europe in general with regular free prime time shows built around making U.K. stars.

The show will be available in the U.S. on the Bellator app.

Fair enough Patricky Freire is well known and Lee Chadwick has been around the UK scene for beards, top level, but the rest is dog shite
 
What UK "stars" do they have in the pipeline? Possibly MVP and....?

It's a card designed to showcase mostly UK & European fighters. What did you expect- that they were going to bring Fedor to Newcastle? Bellator also signed a deal to show every U.S. Bellator card in the UK on another channel so now you can watch them all. Why complain?

Well I personally dont know or havent heard more than 2 fighters on the prelims, just think with how big the sport is here nowadays, Bellator could have scouted some more well known names.
They could easily poach from Cage warriors, Ice fc etc

They basically cleaned out BAMMA lol the entire prelims was up and coming UK talent lol

This was a regional event not a big show this was a good card with great fights.
 
I can’t believe people from the UK/Europe are complaining over what is essentially a UK/ Europe exclusive card. Fucking crybabies.

No wonder the promotions don’t take the hardcore fans seriously. No matter what you do, the hardcore will come out and vocally bitch, moan, and complain.
