Nunes vs Bessette

Weichel vs Cleve

Goiti vs Will Martinez

Richman vs Green

Solid.
Richman and Weichel meet in the finals.

I like 4 of them, think they could have done better with the other 4 guys, I think everyone knows the 4 I speak of.

Its clear Nunes/DW vs Goiti/Richman is the matchups they are looking to get which would be a great second round.

Neves, WIlcox, Rad, SS would have been the best tournament.

I believe I read somewhere that Rad wants to retire. He's fighting on the card at 114 as his final fight.

Neves needs a fight first before throwing him to the wolves in a tourney. Rad is retiring after his next fight. Wilcox isn't exactly the most exciting dude but he probably deserves it more. SS had to have been unavailable, no way they don't use him if he isn't. Hopefully he gets a fight near the end of the season and they get him in the next one.

Nunes/DW vs Richman/Goiti seems likely to me as well. I got Rich taking the whole thing.

I really like this tournament. I'm a huge fan of Goiti, he's a stud but with Nunes and Weichel on the other side of the bracket I just feel like this may be a year or two too soon for him.

Only disappointment is that Shamalhaev isn't in it. Would have also liked to see Rob Emerson in it, he got a solid win last fight for Bellator.

If they are just doing the top four fights it looks like Nunes/Bessette and Richman/Green will get the Main Card spots according to their website. Richman as the lead in, smart.

Yeah, I really like the potential/likely semi final match-ups.

No SS or Wilcox is a bit surprising but not a lot of options with their 4 best FW's all locked up.

Neves and Caldwell are gonna be the two guys they look to build up for a future tournament maybe in hte fall or early next year.

Neves with his record will probably be ready first, caldwell is more of a long term prospect.

I think Green might be a dark horse here. I remember thinking he beat Da Silva at 99, and he did a pretty good job taking out Sanchez in his last fight. I get the impression that he's a good game planner, and really works his strategy out for each opponent.

Of course, Richman is a damned beast too.

Also really excited to see Goiti. I'm curious if he'll have problems making weight so often so he came in so far over for that Almeida fight.

Cleve is a solid prospect. There is nothing wrong with his inclusion. He's 14-3, has beaten Trujillo and Campos, has a 6-fight win streak, no unavenged losses in 11, and is fresh at this weight. He's a real sleeper here.

I agree about the other 3, but Will Martinez is fine for Yamauchi's first opponent. It's not too stiff of a test, but the guy has won 7 straight.

Bessette is scrappy, but I don't know if quite tourney level. Although an upset of Nunes wouldn't shock me. It would surprise me, however.

Dez Green is the one I have real problem with. He's got a short record, had his tourney chance, shit the bed, then I thought looked pedestrian in his next fight, and is on the boring side. I could think of a myriad of guys I'd rather see.

Nice to see Yamauchi in the tournament. I hope he doesn't miss weight so bad like the last time.

What happens if a tournament participants misses weight? Never thought about it until now :D

I believe one of the alternates steps in if that happens

Very good tournament. Pulling for Weichel

I like this tourney. I was hoping for SS and Neves, but not having Neves doesn't surprise me. It is a smart move to get him some recognition first.

There is a few guys I think could have been in, but it's still pretty good.
