I just want to take a minute to talk about the production quality. Love the entrances. Loved the commentating. But as I mentioned a few times in the life thread, Bellator does not contrast the crowd with the cage. The blacks aren't deep enough, and you end up seeing crowd members moving around during the fights. It's a huge visual distraction.

Look at how much easier it is to focus on the fighters in a UFC bout

the blacks are black, and you can't see more than a couple rows in of the crowd.

Really hoping Bellator fixes this. The Silva/Sonnen fight was especially bad, you could see cameramen moving, people in the bleachers, and people playing around on their phones.

the stock sounds they used for entrances was hilarious, like watching a shitty high school power point

IN before you get accused of RACISM!

I was not really a fan of the entrances. Chael's was weird and they ruined Wand's iconic entrance

Great point. Bellator focuses more on Pride-style entrances, but UFC is superior when it comes to the in-cage action.

I think it was pretty good, much better then usual. Really like the Bader entrance. Agree that Wand should have had a different one and not kinda ruin his entrance, Chaels was hilarious.

I always think about similar things when watching Bellator. Something about their events makes me want to lose focus or go to sleep. I don't know if it's the audio quality, the lighting, the color of the cage mat, etc. UFC broadcasts just seem more vibrant to me. If Bellator wants to gain fans, they need to imitate the UFC's production quality.

Yup. The flat in cage quality always makes me think of Bellator as an amateur promotion. It just isn't vibrant, and seeing camera people running around because the visuals are so flat has a negative hit on the attention I pay to the fight.
